Tales of Destiny 2

Особенностью всех игр серии является боевая система Linear Motion Battle System (LMBS), смысл которой заключается в том, что сражения ведутся не по типичным для jrpg правилам пошагового боя, а как в файтингах, т.е. в реальном времени. При этом бой ведется не на основной карте локации, как в Diablo, а переносится на традиционную для jrpg боевую локацию, как в Final Fantasy. Во время боя игрок может применять блок, удар сверху, удар снизу и т.д. Помимо этого, если нажимать комбинации кнопок, то герой будет делать суперудары.
Со второй частью Tales of Destiny существует путаница. Так получилось, что американцы назвали Tales of Destiny 2 игру, которую мы знаем по названию Tales of Eternia. А когда вышла настоящая Tales of Destiny 2, то в мире появилось две разных Tales of Destiny 2: одна фальшивая американская, которая на самом деле является всего лишь английской версией Tales of Eternia, и другая — настоящая, выпущенная только на PS2 и PSP. Настоящая Tales of Destiny 2 распространялась исключительно в азиатском регионе.

Description
Tales of Destiny 2 is the fourth main entry in Namco’s “Tales” series and is the true successor to the original Tales of Destiny on PlayStation 1, and should not be confused with the US release of Tales of Destiny II on the PS1 (which was actually Tales of Eternia).
Tales of Destiny 2 is considered to be one of the most “hardcore” games in the series, featuring the “Tactical and Trust Linear Motion Battle System,” which kicks up the difficulty and speed a notch higher than the average Tales game and adds many rules and extra customization for highly strategic, intense real-time combat.
After several months of project hiatus Cless decided to release a pre-alpha version of his translation which translates most of the menues to boost interest in the project. The patch archieved here is for the original print of the game. There is also a second patch for the Megahits and Playstation the Best prints of the game available on Cless’ homepage.
